Who We AreWe are a group of women educators who span the field of education.
Our members include Administrators, Classroom Teachers, Classified Employees, Curriculum Specialists, Guidance Counselors, Instructional Assistants, Occupational & Physical Therapists, School Nurses, School Psychologists, Special Education Teachers, and Speech & Language Pathologists. We strive to live the mission and vision of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International through its seven purposes. |
Our HistoryThe Beta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Sigma State Organization Washington State was established on June 23, 1979 with 16 founding members.
A quote from our last living founder member, Edna Nyberg, in 2007: "This new Chapter wanted a Saturday meeting date. They chose to meet for breakfast in the downtown core: the Roosevelt Hotel, Frederick and Nelson, the Warwick Hotel and now the Executive Inn." Where we still meet to fellowship with our sisters of DKG Beta Sigma. |
